1. When do I have to electronically register the goods with the customs for export?
- For consignments with a value of up to € 1,000, you do not have to submit an export declaration; a submission of the commercial invoice to the border customs office is sufficient.
- The consignments with a merchandise value of more than 1,000 euros and 1,000 kg must be electronically registered by customs at the ATLAS system. Approved goods must be registered electronically even if the value of the goods is lower.
2. What information do I need for the export declaration?
- In order to submit your customs declaration online, you must register with customs (registration is free). To do this, you must complete an EORI application (form 0870), sign it and send it by e-mail (PDF document), in writing or by FAX to General Director of Customs -DO Dresden-Master Data Management. You will shortly receive a letter from Customs with an EORI number (number to identify traders)
- As the consignee, you must be an EU resident.
3. Important information for the export declaration:
- Commercial Invoice (name and address of the seller and buyer)
- Exact German Goods
- Customs Tariff Numbers (8 digits)
- Country of Origin of the Goods
- Weights (Gross & Net)
- Number of Packages
- Delivery Condition (Incoterms® 2010)
